Ginger Pork with Sweet Pepper

  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh ginger - split
  • 2 Tbsp minced fresh garlic - split
  • 2 sweet peppers - cut into strips
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped dry roasted peanuts
  • basil leaves


  1. In 12“ skillet heat sesame oil. Add pork and 1 Tbsp each ginger and garlic. Cook until pork browned and crispy. Remove from pan.
  2. Add peppers in single layer. Cook w.o stirring 2-3 min. until start to blacken and blister. Stir peppers, add remaining ginger and & garlic, water, soy sauce, and sugar. Cook 2 more min. until peppers are crisp tender.
  3. Add pork back in and cook until heated through. Top with peanuts and fresh basil
  4. Serve with rice.


Serves: 4     Total Cook Time: 30 min.
