Old Fashioned Dump Cake

  • 1 large can cherry or apple pie filling
  • 1 large can pineapple chunks - drained
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup melted margarine
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 cup coconut


  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg.
  2. Spread pie filling evenly in bottom of greased 9×13 baking pan.
  3. Arrange pineapple chunks over pie filling.
  4. Sprinkle dry cake mix over fruit.
  5. Cover with melted margarine.
  6. Top with coconut and nuts.
  7. Bake for 1 hour on middle rack until coconut is browned.


Serves: 12      Total cook time: 1 hr.
