====== Brown Bread ====== *1 qt buttermilk (2 Tbsp lemon juice + 4 cups milk) *1 1/2 cup molasses - original *2 cup raisins *2 cup whole wheat flour *2 cup rye flour *2 cup yellow cornmeal *1 1/2 tsp baking soda *1 tsp salt \\ - In large mixing bowl blend buttermilk and molasses. Stir in raisins. - In bowl stir together the flours, cornmeal, baking soda and salt. - Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. - Grease 9 Similac cans and pour in mixture. Cover tightly with foil and place on rack in 1" boiling water.
